May 13, 2021
We recognize that the CDC issued a statement early afternoon Thursday, May 13th in regards to Social Distancing and Masking. The statement is "Fully vaccinated people can resume activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance."(https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/fully-vaccinated.html) Effective immediately, the Covid Response team is RECOMMENDING, not requiring, wearing facemasks and social distancing while in our church building. If you have not received the vaccine, we highly recommend wearing a face mask and social distancing.
As always, we urge everyone to treat one another with the love of Christ as we gather for worship on Sunday mornings. There will be those who wish to distance and wear a mask, and there will be those who deem it safe to no longer distance and not wear a mask. We ask that we all respect the choices made by individuals and focus on the purpose of why we gather on Sunday mornings: to worship our Lord. For those who feel this is a sudden change, our 11 am service is not as heavily attended and is a space where you may spread out farther than our 9 am service.
